What we collect

Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text) when you create an account.
Order details — recipient names, email addresses, delivery notes, and gift messages you provide when placing an order.
Guest checkout details — name, email, and phone number, used only to process and track your order.
Usage data — basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the service secure and improve it.

To plant and track your trees, deliver gift notifications to recipients, and send order updates.
To send transactional email — order confirmations, planting notifications, and growth updates. These are part of the service, not marketing.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers needed to run Treebute (payment processing, email delivery, planting partners), each bound to use it only for that purpose.

When someone gifts you a tree, we receive your name and email from the gifter solely to deliver the gift notification and growth updates. You can opt out of further emails at any time.

We keep order records for as long as your tree is tracked, and account data until you delete your account.
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@etreebute.com. We respond within 30 days.

We use only the cookies needed for sign-in sessions and security. No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and note the revision date below. Material changes will be announced by email.
